Background

Government Employees Housing Program (GEHP), was formulated in line with Section No. 2 of AO No. 9 s. 2011, “the NHA was directed to formulate, manage, and lead the implementation of Revitalized Government Employees and AFP/PNP Housing Program”. Due to the clamor of other government employees and the previous experienced in the old AFP/PNP housing program of the military and police personnel, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte directed the NHA to enhance the housing units of the uniformed personnel and government employees.

NHA-GEHP projects are implemented under the Agency’s Community Based Initiative Approach (CBIA).

CBIA is an implementation strategy designed to build on the community’s initiative and the participation of families/agencies through their Community Association. Programs of the agency such as GEHP is undertaken through financing acquisition of developed lots and completed housing units in permanent sites.

The GEHP is intended to provide decent, affordable housing to uniformed personnel including members of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), and other Government Employees.

The program features enhanced housing design and different housing models such as One storey duplex, Two storey duplex, Low Rise Building (LRB), Medium Rise Building (MRB) and High Rise Building (HRB) Condominium Type.

Enhanced design of GEHP presents a maximum lot area of 150 sq.m and a 60 sq.m floor area for Horizontal Housing Type while Condominium housing type attributes a 36 – 42 sq.m per unit. Components of the house features two bedrooms, toilet and bath, kitchen and living area and parking space.

NHA-GEHP projects has three (3) main objectives: a.) promote competitive and commendable units to the public, most especially to our public servants; b.) provide opportunity for all government employees to apply for housing units; and c.) to expand housing options for government employees in need of a home they can call their own.

With most of its project sites located in growing cities, GEHP promotes comfortable and urban dwelling. Currently, there are sixteen (16) projects located in various Regions with ongoing land and housing development, and another upcoming nine (9) projects, that will generate a total of 16,545 units.

The first completed project under GEHP is the Scout Ranger Ville located in Brgy. Calumpang, Tartaro-Sibul, San Miguel Bulacan which consists of 1000 units exclusive for First Scout Ranger Regiment (FSRR) of AFP.

With NHA partnership with Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), projects can be financed through Pag-Ibig Housing Loan. SAMPLE
